~ Mindful Meditation Facilitator

When people say meditation they are talking about an intentional time set aside to achieve a state of relaxation. Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. Today more people are seeking natural methods to reduce stress, anxiety and overwhelming thoughts than ever before. There are many different styles of meditation, and they don’t all involve sitting with your legs crossed and eyes closed.

Brittany has practiced mindfulness meditation for almost a decade and this is the style she most often utilizes with clients.
Essentially meditation is a tool. Using meditation as a tool for maintaining mental and emotional wellness is not only beneficial but it’s highly recommended.

Brittany’s mission is to help incorporate holistic wellness practices like meditation and breath work into everyday activities. She is always eager to show beginners how they can make their wellness journey easier. Brittany’s meditation courses are created for everyone however her passion is to reach BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, & People or color) individuals and children.

Meditation is also a practice. Learning to meditate can take months before a person begins to feel confident or competent. Brittany facilitates guided meditations in person and virtually. Group classes and one-on-one packages are offered. 

Brittany helps beginners using a step-by-step model that progressively increases in time. After about 8-10 weeks of regular meditation with Brittany you can expect to:

• know how to properly breathe,

• sit with your feelings,

• utilize journaling,

• feel confident about using your breathing skills in your everyday life.

~ Reiki Practitioner - Good Energy Work

Rei- means divinely, guided or spiritual. Ki-is a subtle electromagnetic force or universal energy. These two syllables together creates reiki, which can be defined as universal life force energy.

Reiki is a complementary healthy approach that aims to move energy around in the body using a primarily hand-off technique. The purpose of reiki is to promote good health by balancing the energy in your body. Reiki was discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan.

Brittany became a reiki practitioner in March 2023, after being taught and anointed by Marci Miles in Raleigh, NC. Brittany is eager to support clients with reiki energy. According to heathline.com clinical studies suggests that reiki may help reduce pain and anxiety, improve your mood and sense of well-being, and help with depression. 

If you feel that your energy is low or blocked, you may benefit from a few sessions of reiki energy, try a package to start your energy work. Reiki energy is subtle yet powerful. Depending on the level of imbalance, sometimes it takes two-three sessions before balance is restored and a client can feel more grounded and harmonious. ~ Breath Work

Breath work is breathing exercises. Learning to breathe properly can be an extremely effective way to naturally reduce stress and tension. Breath work has been proven to lower cortisol levels and reduce anxiety in some people. Breathing exercises are offered in most of Brittany’s services because learning how to engage the breath has been essential to her wellness journey.

Breath work classes, courses and workshops are offered virtually and in-person.
